I've never had a worse GP experience. The GP refused multiple times to refer me to a specialist and trying to tell me that I am okay, when I am living with unbearable pain.
If you have a choice, do not sign up with them as you will struggle to get any appointments
Phoned today asking if I could speak with a GP. it took me nearly 4 hours to get an answer. I got through to a very abrupt receptionist who was called Bev. I have had cross transactions with her before. I needed to be able to speak with a Dr. regarding my present state of health of which is life threatening, she said they had no spaces every where was booked, I mentioned my predicament of what she did not seem to understand the seriousness of Kidney Failure and that it can be fatal. I said that I did not like her attitude, she replied by saying she was the most kindest and caring receptionist there.!! eventually after much unprofessional and unpleasantness she gave me a phone appt for later in the day. I have never had this sort of behaviour from the other receptionists it is always her. she needs some in service training.
Writing in to praise the surgery on its efficiency with both the flu vaccines and the corona virus vaccines. We are fortunate to have such a good service in Rochford.
Make patients feel more like an individual, not an inconvenient drain on resources. Don’t use rigid and tight procedures so forcefully when a very ill patient is reaching out in desperation. Have a general letterbox as well as the repeat prescription one, as making prompt contact has become nigh on impossible.
Up until the merger with the other practice, the service from the Puzey Practice was outstanding; receptionists friendly and helpful, and gave me everything I required. I don’t believe all of the deterioration is down to Coronavirus. Such a shame. I am so ill right now and feel really let down by the Practice.
It would be nice to read here some feedback from the Surgery responding to many of the issues raised by patients.
In particularly regarding invasive questions by reception staff, and the inability to get an appointment when a patient has a condition which needs immediate attention.
Or perhaps something which could result in someones needless death if not addressed urgently.
